Being in a choir is an
excellent way to learn to read music and develop your
voice. It is a recognised fact that children in
church choirs often have higher reading ages than other
children of their age due to the high level of
concentration and reading skills needed to sing church
music.
In return of
commitment to the choir we offer:
- Vocal
tuition and intensive musical training
-
Participation in events organised by the Royal School of
Church Music
-
Opportunities to attend residential and non-residential
choral courses
- an
annual choir social event
- choristers receive a small monthly allowance (depending
on seniority) in return of regular attendance and
punctuality.
In addition to Sunday
services, choir members regularly take part in weddings,
memorial services and concerts.
Why not come and
join us? We rehearse on Friday evenings in the
Church 6.15pm-7.45pm for children and 7pm-8.30pm for
adults.. If you would like to know
more, please contact the Rector on 023 9248 3485.
